Where do e-mails go to and stay in your company?
|
Scenario 1. Company has only one mail address where they receive all their messages. All
information is clustered together in a mess.
Soon
it becomes almost impossible to find your message in there.
Scenario 2.
Every employee has its own e-mail address or several e-mail addresses so that he mixes company
information with his personal correspondence. Soon it becomes very hard to
remember which mail address belongs to which employee.
Scenario 3. Company has its own mail exchange server which is controlled by the system
administrator. Should any server glitch happen during the weekend all your company
partners will see their e-mails came back on Monday and they will have to go to the trouble
of resending everything while you don't get the information you need until much later.
Scenario 4. You never know if your company's mail box is the only place the mail
came to. There are lots of cases where the messages go to other mailboxes. If this
occurs with a company sensitive information, the warning of Responsibility for
misuse of the message will hardly stop a blackmailer.
In all these scenarios, there is an obvious lack of protection of company information.
